Job Description SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for
the Ambulatory Resource Team reports to the Manager or directed
Leader. Under direction of a Registered Nurse, the LPN provides
individualized, goal directed and family centered patient care. The
LPN demonstrates proficiency according to the Laws governing
nursing in South Carolina. He/she delivers safe and effective care
and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve
desired results and outcomes. The LPN will demonstrate excellent
customer service skills and behaviors.
The Ambulatory Resource Team is also known as the "A-Team". We are
the float pool for the ambulatory clinics in Charleston and the
surrounding areas. Our care team members are required to float to
clinics that have placed needs for help in their

Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: -Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Job Summary/Purpose: Responsible for quality patient care under the
direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider in a
clinical practice. Duties to include rooming patients, taking
vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical
record, giving injections and assisting with minor procedures.
Minimum Training and Education: -Graduation from a recognized
Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed as an LPN within
the state of South Carolina or a compact state. One year of LPN
experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required,
either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS
for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an
American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare
Provider.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as an
LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state. Current
Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or
AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for

from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push
a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is
required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability
to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.

at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate
between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine
distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.

Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor
