  • 9C serves as a short stay unit to care for ED boarders, bedded OP, PACU boarders, and Obs patients.
  • 9Center is designed to help alleviate boarding in the Emergency Department.
  • The unit serves direct and new admissions coming into the hospital from the ED under the medical-surgical service lines with a variety of diagnoses.
  • 9 Center is designated and designed for the short-term treatment, observation until discharge, or next day transfer to inpatient units.
    • Job Requirements
    • South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License
    • BLS Certification REQ
    • 1.5 years + of Med Surg Experience
    • Epic experience

      • Shift: 7p-730a
      • Weekend REQ: every other weekend
      • Holiday rotation required
      • Ratios: 1:5
      • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes

        • Located at MUSC Health's main hospital, 9 Center is a nine-bed ER overflow, Admission and Holding unit open 24/7.
        • 9Center is designed to help alleviate boarding in the Emergency Department.

          • Local radius: 60 miles.
          • Locals accepted on a case by case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate
          • RTO Restrictions: If a candidate is a clinical PASS, the account manager can auto offer a traveler that has 7 days or less of NON-HOLIDAY RTO.
          • Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
          • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors will be assigned to emergency response teams.
