The Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is hiring a full- time
Veterinary Supervisor to join our outstanding Emergency & Critical
Care teams! Compensation: $38-47/hr based on experience and skill

VECCS Level 1 certified facility in South Carolina, and 1 of only 2
in the southeast region of the United States! We currently have a
16,000 square foot, state of the art facility with plans to grow in
the new year. Our emergency center is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a
week, 365 days a year to always support our community! Specialty
services offered at CVRC include cardiology, internal medicine,
neurology & neurosurgery, medical oncology (radiation oncology
coming soon!), rehabilitation, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery.
Our hospital houses an MRT, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and
digital radiographs for diagnostic imaging. About the Role: As the
Emergency & Critical Care Supervisor, you will lead and manage a
dedicated team of veterinary nurses and technicians, ensuring
exceptional care for our patients and their families. You will
oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and foster a supportive and
professional environment that encourages continuous learning and
clinical excellence.Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Directly supervise and mentor a team
of emergency and critical care staff, fostering a culture of
professional growth and teamwork.
- Staff Development: Lead recruitment, performance evaluations,
and training to ensure top-tier patient care and team
performance.
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the
Emergency & Critical Care department, ensuring smooth workflows and
optimal coverage.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department leads, hospital
leadership, and staff to maintain high standards of care and
operational efficiency.
- Communication: Promote open communication and transparency
within the team and across departments to address challenges and
implement solutions effectively. Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (preferred)
- Veterinary Technician Specialty Certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in specialty or emergency
veterinary care
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication
skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with diplomacy and
professionalism
