• Employment Type: Travel We are seeking an experienced Cardiac PCU Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital. This position is for a travel nurse who will provide specialized care for post-cardiac procedure patients in a 10-bed unit with 1:4 to 1:5 nurse-patient ratios. The RN will be responsible for titrating Heparin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone drips, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and collaborating with the Monitor Techs and Charge RN to deliver high-quality patient care.
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  
  Provide care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures such as diagnostic cardiac cath, PTCA, pacemaker placement, CABG (post-day 3), Afib, and CHF.
  
  Administer and titrate limited drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone).
  
  Collaborate with Monitor Techs to interpret cardiac rhythms.
  
  Utilize high-flow nasal cannulas and BiPap (no vent management required).
  
  Adhere to the unit's self-scheduling system, with weekend and holiday rotation.
  
  Float to Neurosurgical PCU on rare occasions.
  
  Qualifications:
  Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity.
  
  Successful completion of at least one prior travel contract.
  
  BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  
  Must be comfortable with titrating cardiac drips and rhythm interpretation.
  
  Must adhere to the 100-mile radius rule (travelers must live 101+ miles from the facility).
  
  Navy scrubs required.
