Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Team Lead to join our team at Whole Foods Market - Savannah. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. You will also be responsible for leading and developing team members, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members at all times.Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: Assist the Team Leader in achieving sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and maintain a high level of operational efficiency in the prepared foods department.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performance team.
• Customer Service: Ensure a positive customer experience by providing excellent service, responding promptly to customer needs and questions, and maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment.
• Inventory Management: Assist the Team Leader in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, including food safety and regulatory duties required in the department.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to teach others in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.Working Conditions
    • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Environmental Factors: Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
