Inc.Benefitfocus is looking for a Deal Desk Analyst to join our
fast-paced high-tech environment. Success in this role will require
a team player approach, the ability to work across organizations
with disparate needs, creativity, and critical thinking to
proactively identify new and different approaches to scale current
processes.The Deal Desk team drives value to the business in two
key ways. First, by protecting its interests through compliant,
creative and financially viable deal structures; and second by
escalating issues which impede seller productivity and
effectiveness be they commercial, operational, or in the
marketplace.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary cross-functional liaison for Sales with
regard to deal assessments and discussions.
- Gain subject matter expertise on cross-functional needs and
priorities for appropriate representation and action.
- Manage the end-to-end deal review process and support the
execution of contractual documents while ensuring compliance with
business policies.
- Define and enforce the escalation approval process for
non-standard deals.
- Deal Structure Guidance - Aid sellers in structuring deals
which are mutually beneficial for BNFT and our customers, ensure
deal related operational process commitments are achieved and
periodically review process goals.
- Consult with and guide Sales on topics related to the deals'
financial viability, adherence to business rules, corporate
controls, and policies.
- Build and/or support financial deal modeling
- Project Manage the lifecycle of deals collaborating with
cross-functional teams to include sales, finance, delivery and
legal departments as needed.
- Drive deal structure alternatives which achieve BNFT and
customer objectives.
- Provide proactive support, guidance, and creative solutions to
the sales team in order to help drive deal closure.
- Document deal reviews, including any and all Business Rule or
policy exception requests.
- Ensure contracts maximize total deal value while limiting
risk/exposure to the business.
- Continuously improve and enhance business processes to drive
efficiency across the team.
- Ensure compliance with company pricing, contract terms and the
Delegation of Authority.
- Identify business trends that can influence business decisions
(e.g. Pricing, Business Rules, Competitive pressures).
- Subject Matter Expert on all things pricing processes and quote
activities.
- Additional responsibilities, as required. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.
- 3-5 years' experience working on a deal desk team or comparable
work (e.g., account manager, operations specialist).
- Experience supporting a complex Sales organization, and
communications with executive-level management.
- Previous Involvement with business strategy or licensing and
pricing programs at the enterprise level.
- Background working with SaaS and recurring revenue models is
ideal.
- Strong change management skills and experience with a rapidly
changing business environment and ongoing operational
improvements.
- Strong analytical, accounting, and advanced Excel
skills.Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that's
fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles
and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects
the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s)
listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive
opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives,
and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the
achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this
salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work
within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya
Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual
compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based
upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience,
education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be
finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will
be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be
